· Huge celebrations at Eltham Community Centre for International Children's Day. (Preps)

· Free Fruit Friday proved very popular with children in grades Prep, 1 and 2.
Thanks to the parents who collected fruit and prepared it for the children.
· Two teams of Grades 1 and 2 students took part in the after school Eltham Wildcats Primary Basketball Competition learning lots of new skills.
· The Sherbets Netball team had a very successful season playing in the Diamond Valley Competition after school hours program.
· Preps enjoyed cricket clinics thanks to Montmorency Cricket Club.

Middle School
· Those Term 2 caterpillars finally emerged as magnificent butterflies
· Our Middle school butterfly garden grew and bloomed
· The Olympics saw us doing maths, science, project scrapbooks and the Crossage Olympics here at school
· Miss Browne was teaching in the Middle School
· Crossage with our little buddies helped build enduring friendships
· Jim launched his new book
· Lights, Camera, Action: we made clay animation movies
· Rock and roll! Alicia (our scientist) taught us to dance!
· Chinatown was a great place to visit by train
· We learned how to use the Publisher program for our China projects.
· Phillip Island: a great place to stay with 57 of your closest friends
· Our Happy Feet Integrated Unit had us camping, studying oceans and penguins and writing stories with ocean characters
· The Wild Action incursion had us up close and personal with ocean creatures
· We talked to kids all over the world on Superclubs
· Our digital portfolios showcased some of our experiences this year
· We even learned how to write sums as algorithms and work with fractions!
· Lots of kids earned joining and pen licences
· Community sport days were fun doing dance, lacrosse and tennis
· We celebrated Christmas with a wonderful carols performance and classroom craft activities.
· Basketball and hockey clinics for Middle and Upper School.
· Our Community Sport program for the Middle and Upper schools included tennis, lacrosse and dance.
· Grades Prep, 1 and 2 had a fantastic time at their Tabloid Sports Carnival with lots of parent helpers.
· Grades 3/4 and 5/6 learned swimming and water safety skills at our swimming program at Yarra Swim School.
Upper School
· Sherbourne’s Girls’ Softball & Basketball teams played in the Zone finals.
· 5 Sherbourne students took part in the VPSSA Golf Championships.
· 50 Sherbourne students took part in the Montmorency District Athletics Carnival placing second.
· 14 Sherbourne students competed at the Zone Athletics Carnival at Doncaster.
· 3 Sherbourne students took part in the Region Athletics Carnival and two students competed at State level.
· 50 Upper School students took part in the Hooptime basketball competition. The All Star Girls team proceeded to Regional and then State level placing in final eight in the State.
· 2 Sherbourne students took part in the Victorian Schools Cycling Championships.
· 6 grade 5 and 6 students achieved their bronze star swimming award.
· Lacrosse Metro Primary Finals day resulted in first place for Sherbourne girls and third place for Sherbourne boys.
· Sherbourne year 6 students took part in Year 7 Orientation Day at their Secondary schools

· Sherbourne Girls’ Softball team took part in the Zone Summer Finals

Whole School
· Great fun on our school Walkathon.
· Two large baskets of food were collected by the Eltham Food Share group.
· A Walk to School Day has been held each term in 2008.
· New Sherbourne Values posters published and displayed throughout the school.
· Restorative Practice Parent Forum
· Two more successful Working Bees with many jobs completed to keep our school safe and looking great.
· Sausage Sizzles at Bunnings and at Sherbourne.
· The Sherbourne Cook Book is published.
· Children’s Disco is a great night for all age groups.
· Sherbourne students took part in transition sessions.
· Louise Alford competed in the National Cross Country Run for a second year.
· Carols on the Oval once again a great Community evening.
· Billy Cart Grand Prix is once again a great whole school event
· Monty Christmas window painting is once again great fun and we had a brilliant result with two first places and one third place.
· Christmas Raffle is once again something to look forward to
· Families volunteer to water our school gardens during the holidays
· Many, many cork and batteries have been recycled throughout the year!!
