Japanese Karuta Award for Sherbourne

In 2016 Sherbourne PS hosted two Japanese Teacher assistants, Ayano and Minako. During their stay they completed a Karuta project with our Upper School students. Karuta is a Japanese card game. Sherbourne students made Karuta cards which the girls took back to Japan to submit as part of the Karuta project. Ayano recently contacted one of her Sherbourne host families to let them know that at the recent Karuta festival Ayano received a certificate on behalf of the children of Sherbourne. Sherbourne Primary school was given the best creative Karuta award. Well done!
