Student leadership at Sherbourne Primary School is an integral part of the development of student voice and equipping students with significant life skills and experiences that prepare them for high school and beyond.
The year 6 student leadership team at Sherbourne Primary School are chosen by their peers. The successful students hold the role for the entire year and incorporates the following positions:
- School Captains
- House Captains (Freeman, Perkins, Lewis and Monogetti Houses
- Digital Learning Technology Captains
- Environment Captains
- Wellbeing Captains
The Junior School Council at Sherbourne Primary School is elected representatives from F-6 (plus the School Captains). The successful students hold the role for a semester each year.
JSC meetings are held weekly and are an opportunity or student to share ideas and brainstorm possible events or links with community groups. These meetings also allow students to reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of the school and ways we can make our school the best it can be.
