Each year, all children from Prep- 6 participate in the Sherbourne Primary School Writer’s Festival, which is a celebration of writing across the school.
All of the children, work hard throughout the year on publishing pieces of writing to share with friends and family on this special day.
The year 5 and 6 students can submit their stories to be shortlisted for the ‘Golden Goose’ award.
On this special day, children are invited to dress up in costumes and parade around at a wonderful assembly in front of their friends and family. A child from each class is chosen to read part of their story in the old fashioned ‘authors chair.’
The winner of the Golden Goose award is announced at this event and friends and families are invited back to the classrooms to read the children’s wonderful writing pieces.
